UAFS Homecoming 2022

Designing marketing materials, both print and digital, for UA Fort Smith Homecoming 2022 was one of my jobs as the lead designer in the Student Activities Office. The university needed materials that communicated all of the information in an organized way that stayed on the western theme they had chosen. The materials needed to communicate the necessary information while generating excitement about the events. I developed an identity for this event so that all of the marketing would remain consistent. The logo features the campus bell tower and reflects an old western badge.
I designed 5 different layouts to organize the large amount of information and the client and I chose this layout as the most effective. I translated the information and visuals across an array of digital and print formats while maintaining the same look and level of visual hierarchy.
To spread the word throughout the community about the events open to the public, I designed bus stop signs that could be posted through the city. This part of the project was not actualized, but would be an avenue the University could take in coming years.
There were many touchpoints to be designed to carry the brand of the week long event. From buttons for the winners of the competitions that were held for on campus groups, to sweatshirts to be handed out at halftime for the homecoming games, and tickets for the guests to the games, every piece was created to perpetuate the energy that ran throughout the week long event.
I was also tasked with creating posts for the school's Instagram and Facebook accounts. I created the first slide with a looping animation to capture more attention with the movement. The rest of the slides contained the events for each day of the week.
